About the role

QoreControl is the software that runs every EQORE system on site, connecting batteries, inverters, and meters to QoreAI. As the fleet grows across more sites and more hardware, reliability is the product. This role exists to own it: integrate new hardware, keep every site observable and remotely operable, and make bringing a new site online a repeatable process.

It’s an edge, fleet, and field role, working closely with our controls engineers and our deployments team.

What you’ll do

  • Own QoreControl reliability across every deployed site.
  • Integrate batteries, inverters, meters, gateways, chargers, and other third-party hardware.
  • Build fleet-wide monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and incident runbooks.
  • Move telemetry to scalable, durable infrastructure.
  • Build safe remote releases, staged rollouts, watchdogs, failover, and recovery.
  • Automate calibration, balancing, and recurring operating procedures.
  • Bring new sites online with our deployments team, and keep QoreAI dispatch safe when data, communications, or hardware fail.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience operating a distributed fleet of physical devices in production.
  • Strong Python and Linux skills.
  • Practical experience with Modbus, SunSpec, CAN, or similar industrial protocols.
  • Strong debugging instincts across software, networking, and third-party hardware.
  • Experience with observability, staged deployments, and incident response.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work full-time in person with a small team.

Nice to have

Batteries, inverters, EV charging, BMS, SCADA, industrial controls, time-series infrastructure, or energized-equipment commissioning.

Why EQORE

The future of energy is distributed. Commercial and industrial customers consume more than 65% of America’s electricity, yet less than 1% of recent battery deployments have gone to C&I sites. We are building the engine that closes that gap: not just the software that manages batteries, but the machine that sells, finances, and deploys them across the United States. Our goal is to become the largest deployer and manager of C&I energy resources in the world.

You inherit real systems, not a lab prototype. Your work decides how quickly we bring sites online and how reliably they run after commissioning.
