ThermoFusion held its grid demand at 300 kW

On Tue, Jul 14, the building drew 433.7 kW. QoreAI dispatched the 200 kW QorePack so the utility only saw 299.6 kW — the demand that sets the monthly bill.

Real 15-minute meter data from ThermoFusion, July 2026 — not a simulation.

ThermoFusion, July 2026. Building load peaked at 433.7 kW during the Tue, Jul 14 · 1:45–2:00 PM interval. The 200 kW / 400 kWh QorePack supplied 134.1 kW, so grid demand was 299.6 kW. Across all 2969 fifteen-minute intervals in July 2026, grid demand never exceeded 300.2 kW, against a 300 kW target. ThermoFusion's demand-charge savings for July 2026 totaled $10,928, against a projection of $7,952.

How the savings are madeWhy one 15-minute interval sets the bill, and why the controls decide whether a battery catches it.

How battery storage connects to your facility

The battery sits on your side of the utility meter. EQORE’s controls decide when it charges and discharges, while your team gets on with production.

How an EQORE system connects behind the meterGrid electricity flows through the utility meter to the facility. QorePack connects to the same service behind the meter and charges or discharges. QoreSense meters demand on the facility service, and QoreControl uses those readings and forecasts from QoreAI to control QorePack. Where savings come from

One battery, several sources of value. We optimize to maximize savings across all available channels.

What is a demand charge?

Most commercial bills charge for your single highest 15-minute peak of the month, on top of energy. The battery discharges through those peaks so the meter records a lower one.

How peak shaving works

How do utility programs pay?

Programs such as ConnectedSolutions and the Massachusetts Clean Peak Standard pay for battery output during grid peaks. EQORE enrolls your facility and dispatches the battery for every event.

What are coincident peaks and capacity tags?

Some charges are set by your load during the grid's own peak hour, once a month or once a year. Discharging in that hour lowers the tag your capacity or transmission cost is based on.

What about time-of-use rates?

Where energy costs more in the late afternoon, the battery charges when power is cheap and runs the plant from storage when it is expensive.
