About the role

Many of our customers choose shared savings: EQORE owns and operates the battery, and the customer pays nothing upfront. Every one of those systems has to be financed. This role exists to help our CEO raise and manage the capital that funds our fleet, so the speed of our financing never limits the speed of our deployments. You’ll also build EQORE’s finance function and grow into CFO.

You’ll work on live transactions from day one alongside our CEO: building the models, running diligence, and working with lenders, tax equity investors, and tax-credit buyers.

What you’ll do

  • Help our CEO raise and manage project capital for the shared-savings fleet: debt, tax equity, and ITC transfers.
  • Build the models behind every raise: debt sizing, tax equity waterfalls, unit economics, and project returns.
  • Run diligence and be the person lenders and investors call when they need an answer.
  • Work with sales on how purchase and shared-savings contracts are structured.
  • Manage incentive and program cash flows, including ConnectedSolutions, Clean Peak certificates, and the ITC.
  • Own FP&A, budgeting, cash, and accounting and tax oversight, and support the CEO on equity fundraising.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in project finance, tax equity, or infrastructure investing for solar, storage, or distributed energy.
  • A record of running and closing real transactions, not only modeling them.
  • Financial models strong enough to defend under diligence.
  • Fluency in financing, credit, and partnership agreements, and a working familiarity with corporate tax: how credits, depreciation, and entity structure flow through to project and company returns.
  • Communication that holds up in front of institutional investors and our board.

Nice to have

C&I or distributed generation portfolios, Section 48E ITC transferability and adders, building a finance function at a growing company, CPA or CFA.

Why EQORE

The future of energy is distributed. Commercial and industrial customers consume more than 65% of America’s electricity, yet less than 1% of recent battery deployments have gone to C&I sites. We are building the engine that closes that gap: not just the software that manages batteries, but the machine that sells, finances, and deploys them across the United States. Our goal is to become the largest deployer and manager of C&I energy resources in the world.

Capital is the fuel for our deployments. How much we raise, and how cheaply, sets how fast our fleet grows, and you help make it happen.
