Business Development Representative
Start conversations with manufacturers and industrial facilities that are overpaying in demand charges, and book qualified meetings for our account executives.
About the role
The facilities that would save the most with a battery rarely come looking for one. This role exists to find them and start the conversation, so our account executives spend their time with qualified prospects. You’ll be the first voice many customers hear from EQORE.
We’ll teach you how storage saves money and how to spot a strong site from a utility bill. You bring curiosity, resilience, and a lot of energy.
What you’ll do
- Research target accounts and the people who make energy decisions there.
- Reach out by phone, email, and LinkedIn, and respond fast to every inbound lead.
- Qualify prospects on load profile, tariff, and fit.
- Book meetings for our account executives and hand off clear notes.
- Work trade shows and industry events.
- Keep the CRM accurate and tell the growth team what’s working.
What you’ll bring
- 1+ year of experience, ideally in a high-volume sales role.
- The ability to build rapport quickly and handle rejection.
- Clear, concise writing.
- Curiosity about how energy and industry work.
- Coachability and a strong work ethic.
Nice to have
Prior SDR or BDR experience, HubSpot, an energy or industrial background, or an engineering or economics degree.
Why EQORE
The future of energy is distributed. Commercial and industrial customers consume more than 65% of America’s electricity, yet less than 1% of recent battery deployments have gone to C&I sites. We are building the engine that closes that gap: not just the software that manages batteries, but the machine that sells, finances, and deploys them across the United States. Our goal is to become the largest deployer and manager of C&I energy resources in the world.
You learn the energy business from the ground floor, with a clear path to account executive as the team grows.
